Klinik Ng Dan Singh – WhatsApp Messaging Service Effective Date: 22 May 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms By providing your WhatsApp number to Klinik Ng Dan Singh and engaging with us through our WhatsApp messaging service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please inform us and we will communicate with you through alternative channels.
2. About the Service Our WhatsApp Business messaging service is operated through Meta’s Business Platform and is used exclusively for appointment booking, confirmation, and reminders, rescheduling or cancellation notifications, general clinic enquiries and service information, and post-visit follow-up messages where applicable. This service is not a substitute for emergency medical care. In the event of a medical emergency, please call 999 or proceed to the nearest hospital immediately.
3. Consent to Receive Messages By sharing your WhatsApp contact with the clinic, you consent to receiving messages related to your appointments and clinic communications. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from us, informing our front desk staff in person, or contacting us directly. Please note that opting out will stop all WhatsApp communications and you will need to contact the clinic by phone for future appointment management.
4. Appropriate Use When using our WhatsApp service, you agree to provide accurate personal and appointment information, use the service only for legitimate clinic-related communications, not send unsolicited, abusive, or inappropriate messages to clinic staff, and not share your conversation thread with third parties without consent. The clinic reserves the right to block or restrict access to the WhatsApp service for any user who misuses the platform.
5. Medical Disclaimer Messages sent through WhatsApp do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All health decisions should be made in consultation with a qualified medical professional during a formal clinic visit. Do not use WhatsApp to communicate urgent or time-sensitive medical matters — please call the clinic or visit in person for urgent concerns.
6. Appointment Responsibility Appointment reminders sent via WhatsApp are provided as a courtesy. The clinic is not liable if a reminder is not received due to changes to your WhatsApp number without prior notice, technical issues with Meta’s platform or your device, or messages being blocked or filtered by WhatsApp. It remains your responsibility to attend confirmed appointments or cancel at least 24 hours in advance.
7. Privacy & Data The collection and use of your personal data through this service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms of Service. By using this service, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.
8. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Klinik Ng Dan Singh shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from delays or failures in WhatsApp message delivery, reliance on information exchanged via WhatsApp for medical decisions, or unauthorised access to your WhatsApp account by third parties.
